Waterproofing

Homeowner Use and Maintenance Guidelines

We apply an asphalt waterproofing material your foundation walls. Although we make every effort to assure a dry basement, during times of excessive moisture, you may notice some dampness. Over time, natural compaction of soils in the backfill areas will usually eliminate this condition. Careful maintenance of positive drainage will also protect your basement from this condition. We recommend a dehumidifier for all basements. This should be sized for your particular basement.

Oliver Homes Limited Warranty Guidelines

Oliver Homes will correct conditions that allow actual water to enter the basement unless the cause is improper installation of landscaping or failure to adequately maintain drainage. Dampness of the basement walls is not a warranted item unless puddling occurs on the basement floor.
